- To offer opportunities for focused research in Sustainable Development of built environment Energy efficient Building Design innovative technologies and Architectural Conservation
- To develop the Department as a centre of learning and research for Contemporary & Heritage Architecture by capitalizing the rich heritage value of city and its vicinity
- To execute multidisciplinary research by joining hands with the other technological departments of university and other institutions with such high-end educational and infrastructural infrastructure in the region.
