Dr. Sachin Pal is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, Netaji Subhas University of Technology (formerly Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology), New Delhi, India, since September 2025. He completed his B.Sc. (Hons.) Chemistry from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi in 2015, and his M.Sc. Chemistry (Inorganic Chemistry specialization) from the Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi, in 2017. He was awarded the University Grants Commission - Junior Research Fellowship (UGC-JRF), which was further promoted to Senior Research Fellowship (SRF). Dr. Sachin Pal pursued his Ph.D. in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Sitharaman Uma at the Department of Chemistry, University of Delhi, and was awarded the degree in February 2023. Following this, he taught M.Sc. Inorganic chemistry courses as a Guest Faculty in the same department from June 2023 to February 2025.
His research is centered on the synthesis and characterization of novel solid-state compounds, with a particular focus on understanding structure-property relationships. This approach serves as a pathway to identify advanced functional materials with intriguing ionic, electronic, magnetic, optical, nonlinear, multiferroic, and ferroelectric properties, paving the way for their potential applications in energy, environment, and device technologies. Dr. Sachin Pal has published 12 research papers in reputed international journals, which have collectively received over 70 citations. He also contributes as a reviewer for several international journals of repute, including the Journal of Alloys and Compounds, Journal of Molecular Liquids, Bulletin of Materials Science, etc.
Dr. Sachin Pal has been a Life Member of the Society for Materials Chemistry (SMC) since 2019.
